Rosemount Australian Fashion Week
Last week Cakes by Nadia had the absolute pleasure and stress of creating 280 Macarons and 200 cupcakes for Antonia Paris' after party for Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.
It was 3 full days of testing, baking, tasting, stressing and running around......8 different flavoured Macarons with 6 different fillings, 5 different flavoured cupcakes decorated 5 different ways and 3 hours sleep was enought to create a small brain explosion for us.
We learnt a lot this week.......lessons in time management, online ordering, Macaron perfection and iphone navigation. How to and how not too!!! In the end it was a very helpful Queensland company, very patient children, an extra pair of hands in Abbey and my trusty iphone that brought the whole thing together.
Late (actually 2 hours late) Thursday afternoon we excitedly delivered boxes of Macarons and Cup cakes to the Ivy for the after party. Boxes of goodies we were proud to put the Cakes by Nadia label on.
Lessons learnt this week.....
* There are only 24 hours in one day.
* Follow up all online orders with a phone call if you are expecting miracles.
* The Macaron is a temperamental beast and should be treated with caution especially at 1am!!!
* Be sure to enter the correct spelling when navigating with the iphone.
